Mosaic Design Garden – In a tessellated mosaic , Opus tessellate , the term substrate refers to the base on which the mosaic is established , the base on which the terseness have been glued. For the sake of trying to reduce the weight of my mosaic tessellations usually consolidated into a cement-based mortar and sand while I want to increase its size, lately I’ve been experimenting with creating queues based substrates and fiber cement as well to vary not only the weight and size but also the shape of my mosaics.
The creation of my own substrates allows me to expand and vary the shapes of my tiles to also add more organic forms to geometric frequent and usually employment this without the ability to create three-dimensional substrates or frames of which I speak to you in the future.
This series of experiments are very interesting and I also allow; hoist like tails behave paste when tiles made with different materials such as glass , ceramic , marble wide variety of natural stones . Likewise, I am studying different possibilities offered me such substrates when creating mosaics in direct style. Preliminary results have been satisfactory and interesting as you can see with the pictures of this blog to show a variety of fish that are part of a mosaic design garden to be incorporated into decorative paving way a garden path. The central image shows the substrate ready for tiling. The Mosaics finished the last part of the pavement and the sidewalk . It’s amazing how their appearance changes with the rain , another reason why I enjoy the unique beauty that we provide Mosaic Design Garden made with natural stones.
